Get PDF Online is built so that your documents stay with you. This page explains what that means in practice.

Your files

Most tools on this site run inside your web browser. When you select a file, it is read by your own device and processed there. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them.

The conversion tools for Word, Excel and PowerPoint files (to PDF) and PDF to Word are the exception. They send your file over an encrypted connection to our server, where it is converted in a temporary folder and deleted immediately afterwards. We do not read, keep or share these files.

Information we collect

• Technical data. Like any website, our web server records standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure.
• Preferences. If you choose dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device.
• Analytics and advertising. If we use analytics or show advertising, those providers may use cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Cookies

The site itself needs no cookies to work. Third-party services we may add, such as analytics or ads, can set their own cookies.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
